Being surrounded by the ever changing world of amazing natural colours, textures and patterns is really why I became a Florist...
This is a space for me to share the things I love.

Mr & Mrs Smith

Mr & Mrs Smith

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Smith! And what a lovely couple they make. Here’s some of the beautiful photographs taken by the very talented Ross Dean  www.rossdeanphotography.com of their day at Moreves Barn, Sudbury.

Wanting to add a personal feel to their special day we had a really unusual brief for the flowers – Orange being the favourite colour of the groom, pale duck egg blue was a favourite too, then bring a fitness theme into the mix and this is how it evolved. Chalk painted protein powder pots with hand painted copper lettering worked really well as “vases” for their tables. Filled with fluffy pale blue hydrangeas, vibrant orange ranunculus white peonies, larkspur and dynamite thistle. Small bottles and jars held individual ranunculus dotted around the venue and we even managed included some home grown ranunculus in Sophie’s bouquet, expertly grown by her Dad.

Niall & Ellie’s Wedding

Niall & Ellie's Wedding

So the start of May brings more lovely weddings starting here with Niall and Ellie’s beautiful day at Hengrave Hall. It had been a while in the planning, but Ellie and Niall both had a clear idea from the start of the colours they wanted for their flowers. From their church service at Walsham-le-Willows to their wedding breakfast in the Long Gallery at Hengrave Hall, we used rich purple Sibilla hydrangeas through to the delicate lilac tones of these sweet peas. Nightingale roses with silver shadow spray roses added a mid tone to this combination.

Stacey’s Flowers

Stacey's Flowers

A few of the beautiful shots taken my the amazing Paul & Nanda – paulandnanda.com of Stacey and her flowers at Haughley Park recently. Stacey wanted a relaxed bridal bouquet combining neutral tones with loose foliages. We went with a combination of White Avalanche, Menta and Sahara roses with white ranunculus, wax flowers and feathery astilbe. Then lots of lovely greens – eucalyptuses, olive leaf, french ruskus, senecio dusty miller to finish the look.

Butterfly Ranunculus

Butterfly Ranunculus

The best thing  about working with seasonal flowers is you never get tired of the same old same old! I’m loving this butterfly ranunculus “Ariadne”used here as part of a freestanding archway I made for the Luxe Love wedding fair today. They have a fairly short season and are sadly coming to an end now, so I’ll have to wait another year before I get my hands on them again.

This piece was a mix of mainly mosses and lots of lovely foliages with the most delicate of flowers, these blush coloured ranunculus, white larkspur, veronica, ammi, wax flowers and roma astrantia, all working together to help create a really dreamy, enchanted garden look.

Chelsea & Her GirlsBridesmaid Bouquet Lullaby Rose

Thank you so much to the lovely Sadie from Big Fish Photography for sending through these beautiful images from Chelsea and Daniel’s wedding this month. The most beautiful day with their ceremony at Butley Priory and then on to Easton Grange for the party! Chelsea had a clear idea of the overall look she was hoping for with her flowers, loving deep purples, dusky lilacs and soft grey greens. A wonderfully relaxed feel to the wedding with gorgeous dresses!
